Activity Feed

What the Activity Feed Shows

The Activity Feed is a chronological log of everything happening across the portal. It tracks task updates, document uploads, compliance changes, ticket activity, and user actions — giving you a real-time view of what's happening across your team and your clients.

Think of it as the portal's timeline: scroll through to see who did what, when.

How to Access the Activity Feed

You can open the Activity Feed in two ways:

  1. Click Activity in the sidebar.
  2. Click the activity icon in the top navigation bar.

The feed opens in a panel or full page view, depending on where you clicked.

What Appears in the Feed

The feed includes entries for:

  • Task updates — status changes, assignments, completion
  • Document uploads — new files or replacements
  • Compliance changes — steps advanced, pipelines updated
  • Ticket activity — new tickets, replies, status changes
  • User actions — logins, permission changes, assignments

Each entry shows:

  • What happened — a short description of the action
  • Who did it — the staff member or client who triggered the event
  • When it happened — timestamp (in your local timezone)
  • Related client or task — a link to jump directly to the relevant record

The Activity Feed includes a full suite of filters to help you find exactly what you're looking for:

Filter by Type

Use the Action Type dropdown to show only certain types of activity:

  • Tasks only — see just task-related updates
  • Documents only — track file uploads and approvals
  • Tickets only — follow support ticket activity
  • User actions — logins, permission changes, assignments
  • Compliance changes — steps advanced, pipelines updated

Filter by User

The User filter lets you see activity by a specific staff member or client. This is useful for auditing who made changes or tracking a particular person's work.

Filter by Entity Type

The Entity Type filter scopes the feed to a specific type of record:

  • Tasks
  • Documents
  • Tickets
  • Clients
  • Services
  • Invoices

Date Range Filter

Select a date range to see activity within a specific timeframe:

  • Today
  • Last 7 days
  • Last 30 days
  • Custom range (pick start and end dates)

Use the search box to find activity entries by keyword. Search works across action descriptions, user names, and related entity names. For example, search "BIR filing" to find all activity related to BIR filing tasks.

Combining Filters

You can use multiple filters at once. For example:

  • Filter by User: John Doe + Type: Tasks + Date Range: Last 7 Days to see all task updates John made this week.
  • Filter by Entity Type: Documents + Search: "contract" to find all document activity related to contracts.

Pagination

The Activity Feed shows 50 entries per page. Use the Next and Previous buttons at the bottom to navigate through older activity. The feed is sorted by most recent first.

Using the Feed for Audit and Visibility

The Activity Feed is especially useful for:

  • Tracking progress — see at a glance if tasks are moving or stalled.
  • Auditing changes — review who made changes to a task or document and when.
  • Team coordination — stay informed about what other staff members are working on.
  • Debugging issues — trace the sequence of events leading up to a problem.
  • Compliance audits — export a filtered view to review specific actions taken within a date range.

TIP

If you're managing a team, check the Activity Feed at the start of your day to see what happened overnight or over the weekend. It's a quick way to spot bottlenecks or missed actions.
